Likely causes

  1. 1

    Clogged fuel filterMost likely

Replace the primary pre-filter and secondary fine filter. MF 7700/8700 have filters in the engine bay — both should be changed together.

  2. 2

    Failing high-pressure fuel pumpPossible

AGCO SISU/AGCO Power engines use a Bosch or Delphi HPFP. A worn pump struggles to maintain rail pressure under load.

  3. 3

Leaking injector (return flow too high)Possible

A worn or damaged injector passes too much fuel back to the tank, reducing rail pressure. A return flow test on each injector will identify the culprit.
