Likely causes

  1. 1

    Low brake accumulator pressureMost likely

The brake accumulator maintains pressure for emergency braking. It slowly loses pressure over time as the diaphragm ages. Pre-charge pressure should be checked.

  2. 2

    Failed brake pressure sensorPossible

The sensor reports accumulator pressure to the EBC module. A faulty sensor will generate this code even if actual pressure is correct.

  3. 3

    Leaking brake hydraulic circuitLess common

A leak in the brake supply circuit will slowly deplete the accumulator. Check for wet spots around brake cylinders and the accumulator itself.

Parts needed

Tools needed

  • brake pressure gauge
  • nitrogen charging kit (for accumulator)
  • wrench set
